Hi all! We are so happy to say that Carmel Erin (girl) was born on Friday 27th of June at 8:19 pm. She was 4.2kg and 55cm. She is big, yes :) Many thanks to everyone for your support. It is a busy time for us but Kamila and Carmel are both doing great.

Tak sme sa dockali. V piatok 27 juna o 20:19 sa nam narodila Carmel Erin. Vazila 4.2kg a meria 55cm. Chceli by sme sa vsetkym podakovat za to, ze ste na nas mysleli a modlili sa za nas. Je mile dostat SMS alebo emaily od vas, vieme, ze na nas myslite. Sme velmi radi, ze je tu teraz s nami aj prakticka pomoc - Kamilina sestra Lenka so Stelkou. Kamila a Carmel su v poriadku, zvykame si na novu babatkovsku rutinu.


Porod trval do kopy 35,5 hod. Bolo to velmi vycerpavajuce, tak sme vyuzili rozne sposoby utisovania bolesti: TENS, rajsky plyn, pethidin, remifentanil. Na fotke je s nami Anaesthetic doctor - on dozeral na aplikaciu remi (fialovy pristroj) a Midwife (porodna baba) Heidi (ona a este jedna studentka midwife s nami rodili, boli velmi, velmi mile)

A photo with Anaesthetic doctor and Midwife Heidi. All the staff was very very nice. You can see a violet machine on the picture. It is the reason why the doctor was there - the hospital introduced a new self controled pain relief remifentanil and he was there to look after the application. The labour was induced and long: 35,5 hours so Kamila was very tired and very sore so as a pain relief she used TENS, Gas and Air, Pethidin, and remifentanil.

Prva fotka z porodnice. V porodnici si dievcata nechali 1 noc, v sobotu poobede si ich hrdy otec Jaroslav odviezol domov. Nasledujucich 10 dni k nam kazdy den bude chodit Midwife kontrolovat, ako sa dari.

The first photo in the hospital. The girls stayed overnight and were taken home by the proud daddy on Saturday afternoon. There will be a community midwife comming to visit us every day next 10 days so we are glad that someone will be looking after our well being.

Jaro26

Vcera sme mali trosku oslavu.. vramci mojich "tarchavych" moznosti. Pozvali sme Azorovych a este jednu fajn rodinku zo zhromka a posedeli sme pri mensej veceri a narodeninovom "kolaci", ktory si asi prvy raz a naposledy Jaro urobil sam.. Bolo nam fajn, aj mala Naomi sa ozyvala len ked bola hladna, bol to velmi prijemny vecer; dakujeme hostom za navstevu!

Yesterday we had a wee party.. I would like to thank all friends for comming - Katarina, Peter and Naomi; Gayle, Neil and Michael. It was a nice evening. Below a photo of Jaro and his birthday cake.. I think this was the first and hopefully the last time that Jaro had to prepare his b'cake by himself :)

Zachranene babatko

Tu v UK sme sa stretli s viacerymi organizaciami, ktore pomahaju chudobnym a niektore sme aj financne jednorazovo podporili, jednu podporujeme pravidelne.
Cez dennik SME sme narazili na organizaciu Magna. Potesilo nas, ze aj na Slovensku su ludia, ktori si uvedomuju, ze na svete su ludia chudobnejsi a vo vacsej nudzi ako my.
Pozreli sme si ich projekty a rozhodli sme sa podporit projekt s nazvom Zachran babo.
Ide o projekt, do ktoreho vstupi HIV pozitivna matka - zahrnuje prenatálnu starostlivosť, pôrod, lekársku starostlivosť, baby kit, detské očkovanie a náhradnú stravu. HIV pozitivnej matke sa totiz nemusi narodit HIV pozitivne dieta. Preto pomocou tohoto programu Magna zachranuje detom zivot.
Podporili sme tento projekt a velmi sme sa potesili, ked nam minuly tyzden z Magny poslali fotku babatka, ktore sa vdaka takemuto projektu narodilo v decembri 2007 HIV negativne a jeho matka teraz v lete program konci. Chceli sme sa s vami o tuto radost podelit a so suhlasom Magny uverejnujeme aj fotku babatka. Je to chlapec z Kambodze.

Hi friends! We are publishing a picture of a baby that was born in Cambodia and his mum is HIV positive. This lucky boy wasn't born HIV+ because of a Slovak organization called Magna that supports children in poor countries. His mum attended a one year program that includes hospital treatments before, during and after birth so the child won't be HIV+. We supported a program called Save a Child and our donation was spent to a whole year program for such children as this boy. We are very happy about this little one and wanted to share with all our family and friends.
